Ministry Update: Moving to Japan!

Hello from Pennsylvania, USA! This time of the pandemic has definitely had it’s challenges for me, as I had about 8 missions trips cancelled so far this year, I’ve spent more time in Pennsylvania than I have in several years, and some of my largest sources of income were made unavailable to me.

But God has still sustained me and I’ve still been standing in this time. Because of this pandemic I have dove much deeper in spending time with the Lord, studying theology, studying Japanese and Portuguese to speak and write, doing more online ministry meetings and prayer meetings with Empowering Japan (the ministry I started a few years back), doing various teachings and preachings on Zoom for YWAM and other ministry groups.

Me and my spiritual father Stefaan Hugo also started weekly Holy Spirit mentoring videos calls over zoom, where we have been gathering people from all over the world for weekly meetings and prayer.

I’ve also preached a few times in a couple places locally. One of them a spontaneous event that me and a few of my friends from Circuit Riders did at a warehouse that someone let us use in the inner city in New Holland, Pennsylvania. People from all different church backgrounds came that evening!

It was reported that healings broke out, people experienced God, pain healed, trauma healed, and forgiveness given! Lot’s of tears too! It was an awesome night!

I also preached at The Center Lehigh Valley just recently on Sunday morning and preached a youth service there in the evening!

You can view the whole message I preached on my YouTube channel here.

Additionally a friend of mine was leading a weekly prayer gathering at someone’s house consisting of people from all over. I started coming and after my friend left to move to California I ended up taking leadership over the gatherings. We’ve been diving deeper into the prophetic much more over the past few weeks, the manifestation of Holy Spirit, and healing!

But now for the big news! Earlier this year I received a word that I will have a new place in which I will be based out of. For many of you that know me, you know that I have had a heart for Japan since I was very young, long before I knew that Japan is less than 1% Christian, one of the highest suicide rates in the world, and had 1 missionary for every 56,000 Japanese people!

I started learning the language and the culture, going on missions trips there, eventually leading missions trips there of people from different parts of the world, to eventually start the ministry group “Empowering Japan”. A group of 17 people from different parts of Japan and the world. I have been to Japan 9 different times on missions so far. We have done many conferences over the years, evangelism events, seen so many give their lives to Jesus and many miracles take place! And we are currently stepping into more discipleship and greater projects in the future.

Through Empowering Japan we have also brought different YWAM teams from different countries to join us, and connect them to different ministries in Empowering Japan’s network. You can watch an example of one of Empowering Japan’s conference tours here.

There is much more work that needs to be done in Japan, and we as Empowering Japan as well and my personal ministry in Japan has much more work to be done too!

I have been asked a lot if I would move to Japan and received different offers in the past from ministers, but I had not felt lead to move to Japan until recently. I felt it drop very strongly in my heart and I believe it is God’s will and I need to answer that call!

I would still travel internationally, preach and teach in different countries that invite me, but rather than Pennsylvania be the place I always return to, it will be Japan.

Okinawa specifically will be where I will move to as most of my network connections in Japan are there. I already have been connecting with a church that will be helping me through the visa process. I am going to wait a little bit though and fundraise as once my visa is accepted, I need to move to Japan shortly after my approval or I will lose the visa.

Things are still very up in the air now because of the pandemic. But please pray for the timing of everything. But the plan as of now is moving to Okinawa, Japan at the beginning of 2021!

I need your help though to get me there! I will need a car, a house, insurance, all visa costs paid for, as well as at least $1500-$2500 per month. My timing of leaving will depend on how much funds I can raise during this time! Please pray about financially partnering with me to make this a reality so I and you can be a part of the big revival God is about to do in Japan and I can focus much more of my time into the work I do in Japan! I value all support as well as prayer! Details to donate down below.
