Hello from Okinawa, Japan! I just got back this week after spending about 5 weeks in mid-central mainland Japan!
It was a very busy time as I preached 25 times in the Aichi prefecture area, in Mie and Nagano prefecture too.
Most of the churches were with Missão Apoio, which are predominantly Brazilian, Portuguese speaking churches. But I also spoke in some international/ predominately Japanese churches too.
There were many supernatural healings, decisions for Christ, and other powerful moves of Holy Spirit during this month! So many it was difficult to keep track. Glory to God for all He did!
Towards the end of the trip I also got to fulfill one of my dreams of Japan that I haven’t experienced yet. Hiking Mt Fuji!
The elevation in total is about 12,388 feet (About 3,776 meters). You take a bus to a station at about 7,546 feet (2300 meters) and hike a very difficult 5000 feet or so (1500 meter) to the top. We were about 33 of us. We started hiking at about 6:45pm Friday evening, we split up into little groups and hiked through the night to watch the sunrise of Saturday morning. The whole group took between 7:45 minutes to about 12 hours to reach the top. Some of the group couldn’t make it to the top unfortunately because they didn’t do well physically, but they got well taken care of. Mt Fuji is said to be the most hiked mountain in the world and at the top there were hundreds of people from many nations all over the world! But at the bottom of the mountain, many suicides happen and Mt Fuji is known as a god and very spiritual place in Japan to worship.
At the end I got to lead our group in prayer for a greater move of Holy Spirit and harvest in Japan than we’ve ever seen before, a purifying fire, a new boldness, and courage into the churches and church leaders of Japan and for Mt. Fuji to be a place where people will meet God personally like Moses met with the Lord on Mt. Sinai!
